The French Academy in Rome promotes artistic and literary creation by welcoming artists, authors and researchers in residence. It contributes to the promotion of arts and culture through its artistic and cultural programming, as well as research in art history. It is also in charge of conserving and promoting Villa Medici’s heritage, its gardens and art collections.
