Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Grenoble Alpes (CHU Grenoble Alpes or CHUGA) is one of the leading public University Hospitals in France. With 11,500 professionals and a capacity of 2,450 hospital beds and places, it offers support for the entire Alpine Arc region on several sites operating in all medical and surgical specialties. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, CHUGA excels in a wide range of disciplines, positioning itself as a leader in both medical and surgical care, as well as in pioneering research.
More than 100 different professions work together every day to champion its mission of care, teaching, research, and prevention. Actions Led
To shape the health sector of the 21st century, CHU Grenoble Alpes keeps reinventing itself by focusing on the cross-training of all its professionals to improve each patient’s care experience and overall hospital efficiency. As a teaching hospital, CHUGA is a key site for medical education, providing training and internships for medical students, nursing students, and other healthcare professionals. In hosting various educational programs, seminars, and workshops, CHUGA is dedicated to the values of collaboration and innovation.
The hospital is actively involved in medical research advancement, often collaborating with the University of Grenoble Alpes and other research institutions worldwide. These projects, supported in large part by its Endowment Fund, are not only dedicated to medical breakthroughs, but to developing better technological and ecological systems through initiatives such as responsible water consumption and environmentally friendly cleaning practices.
