Mission & Vision

Efrei is a leading engineering school in Paris specializing in digital technology. Created in 2012, Efrei Fonds de dotation is dedicated to strengthening Efrei’s values by supporting projects that promote solidarity, inclusivity, and innovation. Our mission is to make education accessible, encourage entrepreneurship, and drive impactful research, ensuring that Efrei remains a leader in innovation and social responsibility.

Actions Led

Efrei Fonds de dotation supports several impactful projects, including:

1. Promoting accessibility and equal opportunities: We believe everyone deserves a chance to succeed. Efrei has its own scholarship program, and our goal is to quadruple the budget by 2026 through the support of our donors. Here are some of the scholarships we offer:
   1. Honors Scholarship: €1,500 for students with excellent academic results prior to joining Efrei.
   2. Program’Her Scholarship: to encourage high school girls to pursue careers in tech, we launched the Program’Her Scholarship. This scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees for select young women enrolling at Efrei.
   3. Social and Merit Scholarship: Supporting students with financial needs. The eligibility criteria have expanded to cover a wider range of financial circumstances, including student housing needs.
   4. Low-Carbon Mobility Scholarship: Helping students travel sustainably, it is an initiative designed to reduce the carbon footprint of students’ international travel by encouraging them to choose eco-friendly transportation options for their studies.
2. Supporting Student Societies: Student clubs are a big part of life at Efrei, organizing projects that promote solidarity, sustainability, and inclusion. Since 2015, we have allocated over €70,000 annually to support more than 20 student societies.
3. Encouraging Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship is at the core of Efrei’s identity. To promote innovation, we fund programs like “Le Printemps des Entrepreneurs” (Spring of Entrepreneurs), where we award:
   1. The Innovator Prize: €3,000 for the best startup idea.
   2. The Hope Prize: €1,000 for promising early-stage projects.
4. Driving Impactful Research: Working in collaboration with the Efrei Research Lab, we are striving to advance innovative research initiatives. Through this partnership, our donors can engage in high-impact academic research, develop high impact programs, and work alongside prestigious institutions such as Panthéon-Assas University, a valued partner of our school.

Projects that U.S. Donors Can Support

Through Friends of Fondation de France, US donors can contribute to Efrei Fonds de dotation initiatives:

1. Students Scholarships: Our number one priority is our scholarship program, including merit, diversity, and athletic scholarships. Help us quadruple our scholarship budget by 2026 to support more students in need. 
2. Research Projects: Advance impactful research projects that address global challenges by supporting chair creation, costs related to staff, organization of conferences, and equipment acquisition.
3. Entrepreneurship: Help us promote entrepreneurship through annual prizes (pre-incubation) and the creation of e-programs to support students.
4. Support Vulnerable Students: Support grants for interest-free loans for the most financially vulnerable students.
