Fondation des Monastères provides charitable assistance to members of Christian communities facing financial or other difficulty, in order to help them in particular to cover themselves against social risks and to contribute to the preservation of the cultural and artistic heritage of the monasteries.

With US donations, Fondation des Monastères will fund the preservation or restoration of French monastic buildings (such as abbeys and monasteries) which are part of the French cultural and artistic heritage, and some of their contents (such as libraries or works of art).
