Schizophrenia, recurrent depression, suicidal behavior, bipolar and autism spectrum disorders are handicapping for patients and their relatives, costly for societies. Fondation FondaMental is a non profit foundation created in 2007, first to improve diagnosis by creating and coordinating a national network of expert centers, second to support research and innovation in psychiatry to treat major mental disorders, third to reduce stigma by sharing scientific knowledge and launching educational activities.

Thanks to Friends of Fondation de France, US donors can support :

– Projects in precision psychiatry that will enable to identify homogeneous subgroups of patients for whom mechanisms based treatments will be developed ;

– Projects aimed at training and informing caregivers and actions to increase awareness of the civil society on mental disorders.
