By working closely with committed local organizations, Fondation de France focuses its efforts on the most vulnerable populations, with one clear goal: helping them rebuild their future.

Examples of Impactful Initiatives
Providing Essential Aid – 34 projects
- In Adıyaman, Turkey, the construction of a village with over 1,200 container homes now shelters more than 7,000 displaced people. The site includes a medical center where a doctor and psychologist provide care. (Project led by Association Shuder)
- Improving living conditions for women and families facing extreme hardship through the installation of 30 insulated tents, fuel for heating, solar panels, and materials for protection against cold and rain.
Ensuring Access to Education – 14 projects
- In Adıyaman, Turkey, an educational and psychological support program provides children with creative workshops and daily therapy sessions led by psychologists. (Project led by Association FISA)
- In Al-Kamouneh refugee camp, Syria, an education center was built to shelter and support 85 children, many of whom are orphans or separated from their families.
Providing Psychological and Medical Support – 27 projects
- In Hatay, Turkey, medical and psychosocial care is offered through rehabilitation sessions, mental health support, physiotherapy, trauma therapy workshops, and public health awareness campaigns. (Led by Handicap International and local partners)
Revitalizing Local Economies – 13 projects
- Seven community buildings have been rehabilitated, including textile cooperatives that employ women, a school for 100 students, and a mental health support center in Samandağ, Turkey. Cooperatives were equipped with solar panels, industrial tools, and greenhouses to support sustainable agriculture and economic recovery. (Project led by Fondation Architectes de l’Urgence)
A Legacy of Humanitarian Action
For over 30 years, Fondation de France has provided long-term disaster relief and recovery worldwide. From the 2004 tsunami in Southeast Asia and the 2010 Haiti earthquake to the 2015 Nepal earthquake and the 2017 hurricanes in the Caribbean, the foundation has played a key role in rebuilding communities. More recently, it has mobilized aid for Lebanon (2020), Ukraine (2022), Turkey and Syria (2023), Morocco (2023), and Mayotte (2024). With expertise in both emergency response and long-term reconstruction, Fondation de France remains committed to supporting affected communities for as long as needed, ensuring transparency and accountability in every project funded through donor generosity.
